Eligibility

  • You must answer Yes to all to be eligible for this funding. If you answer No to any of the below, contact the Screenwest Program Contact.

Must have a strong letter of commitment from a broadcaster or distributor in the form of an official letter or email, indicating the need for emergency funding. * Required
Exceptions will depend on the track record of the production team and the market strength of the project.
The project requires immediate development that cannot be funded through other Screenwest funds due to the exceptional time-critical needs of this stage of development. * Required
The project must not have previously received emergency development - projects will generally only receive one stage of Emergency Development Investment funding. * Required
The project must have confirmed market attachment. * Required

Legals & Rights

The Funding Recipient must hold all necessary Intellectual Property and Underlying Rights to make and exploit the Project.

At any time Screenwest may ask to see and approve a project’s Chain of Title and other relevant documentation, and/or request the Funding Recipient provide a Chain of Title Opinion. A Funding Recipient must provide these documents promptly on request.
