Application Eligibility

Before you start this application:

  • Read the WA Production Attraction Incentive Guidelines and check eligibility.
  • Discuss your application with the Screenwest Program Contact/s.
  • Review the Qualifying Western Australian Expenditure definitions document on the Incentives page on the Screenwest website. 

 

  • Screenwest supports the importance of diversity benchmarking and tracking pursuant to The Everyone Project (TEP) initiative of the Screen Diversity and Inclusion Network (SDIN) and will require funded film and television Projects to register for TEP. 
  • Screenwest does not have access to any of the personal data stored by The Everyone Project - it will only receive de-identified aggregated reports which show demographic data as a whole across Australia.

 

Eligibility

This incentive is open to screen projects that:

• Spend a minimum of $3.5million on Qualifying Western Australian Expenditure (QWAE). Consideration will be given to International productions that do not meet this threshold that can demonstrate significant benefit to Western Australia, in line with State Government Strategic Priorities.
• Are footloose (there is satisfactory evidence of genuine interstate or international destination alternatives).
• Have genuine marketplace interest for commercial release or distribution of the project.
• Have not yet commenced production
