  • Screenwest requires all successful screen productions to register to The Everyone Project and, with the appropriate consent, send a link to the production cast and crew to take part in a confidential, voluntary, demographic survey. Screenwest does not have access to any of the personal data stored by The Everyone Project - it will only receive de-identified aggregated reports which show demographic data as a whole across Australia.

Eligibility

The applicant / company must:

1. Be a resident Western Australian Producer/Production Company, as per the Screenwest Terms of Trade. * Required
2. Meet the general eligibility requirements as set out in the Screenwest Terms of Trade. * Required
3. Hold the underlying rights to the project at the time of application. * Required

The team must:


1. Be led by a first-time Western Australian feature documentary Director who has not had a theatrically released feature film credit or equivalent Above-the-Line (ATL) broadcast credit.
2. Include at least one Western Australian producer who will be credited in this role on this film.

The project must:
1. Be a production ready feature film intended for theatrical release or released as a feature length film for Australian television broadcast or streaming platform.
2. Commence production in Western Australia within a one-year time frame.
3. Clearly demonstrate substantial changes (as determined by Screenwest Management) if the project has previously been declined for funding by Screenwest.
4. Complete all pre-production and post-production in Western Australia.
5. Score a minimum of 6 points out of a possible 10 in the ‘West Coast Visions Points Allocation Table’. At least 2 points must come from the producer and writer.

Legals & Rights

It is the applicant's responsibility to obtain and keep current, all necessary permissions, permits, and Chain of Title documentation for the development, production and exploitation of the Project. Screenwest reserves the right to sight and approve these at any time, upon written request. You will need to provide details clearly outlining any Chain of Title documentation in place, including type of agreement, parties to that agreement and expiry dates.
